Conducted in 2014 by the Department of Physical Therapy & Human Movement Sciences at Northwestern University, this study examined gait kinematics and muscle firing for lateral training and walking.
Side Step Study
This 2015 study looked at the role of seated lateral training on strength, agility and balance to assess fall risk and balance-related strength. Eighteen male and female subjects ranging from 72 to 95 participated.
This study, conducted in 2016 at the Human Biomechanics & Physiology Lab at Highpoint's Congdon School of Health, looked at knee rotation and abduction/adduction.
